How it works

Seven steps between your PDF and a sentence you can act on

Nothing here is a black box. This is the whole pipeline, in order, including the places where we deliberately refuse to answer.

  1. 01

    You upload the PDF

No account, no email, no phone number. The file is read in the request that processes it and is not kept as a document afterward.

  2. 02

    Personal details are scrubbed

Names, addresses, policy and claim numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, and email addresses are stripped from the text before any model sees it. What remains is the coverage language.

  3. 03

    Clauses are extracted as evidence

The document is split into evidence blocks — the literal wording plus where it sits. Every later statement has to point back at one of these blocks.

  4. 04

Quotes are verified against the file

Each quote is checked back against the extracted text. A quote that cannot be matched is dropped rather than shown, because an unverifiable quote is worse than silence.

  5. 05

    Structure is detected

Base form, endorsements, schedules, and amendments are labelled, because the order of those documents is what decides the answer.

  6. 06

    Conflicts are reconciled, not averaged

When an endorsement changes a limit or exclusion in the booklet, both are shown, the governing wording is named, and the superseded wording is marked as overridden. If the text cannot settle it, it is flagged unresolved.

  7. 07

    Poli writes the plain-language read

Section by section, in ordinary words, with the clause beside it — plus what-if walkthroughs built from your own clauses and follow-up questions you can ask in your own words.

Limits, plainly stated

Is this legal or insurance advice?

No. PoliSays is an explanation tool. It describes what a document says. It does not recommend coverage, valuate a claim, interpret state law, or replace a licensed agent or attorney. Nothing here creates an advisory, agency, or attorney-client relationship.

Can I rely on it for a claim or a closing?

Treat it as a reading aid, not a determination. Your carrier's adjuster, your agent, or your attorney decides outcomes. Before you act, read the quoted clause yourself — it is shown next to every line for exactly that reason.

What if PoliSays gets something wrong?

It can. Language models misread, and scanned PDFs lose text. That is why every claim is quoted and why unverifiable quotes are removed. If the read and the quote disagree, the quoted document wins — always.

What is stored?

Anonymous usage counts so we can enforce the free tier and watch cost, and — only if you opt in — premium comparison data as coarse anonymous bands. You are shown the exact record before it is saved and given a delete code. Uploaded documents and personal details are not stored.

Do you sell anything based on my document?

No. There is no lead sale, no broker handoff, and no ranking of carriers. The document you upload does not become anyone's sales list.

What does the free tier include?

Three document reads and fifteen follow-up questions per visitor session. Reopening a document you already read in the same session is free.

Read the pipeline, then watch it run on your own document.
